Lately I’ve had the feeling that Cat was stalking me. Maybe Cat has the feeling that I’m stalking him. We’re mutually stalking each other I suppose.
It seems that he knows my path and he’s always in some inconspicuous place . . like he wants me to find him or, maybe he doesn’t want me to find him. He’s probably thinking he can run but he cannot hide. The crazy lady is always around with her camera.
The other night friends were over and we were walking out to see the baby chicks and there was Cat, on top of one of the small coops . . just waiting to be seen.
Yesterday I was walking out to the compost pile and I happened to look up on on top of one of the empty coops and there was Cat.
He watched me go dump the veggie scraps. I tried to talk to him but he wasn’t much interested in conversing . . never is.
Won’t be long til it will be a “cat on a hot tin roof” when he climbs up there.
I’ve never had an outside cat so I find him pretty amusing but I suppose he’s just a regular cat . . an unfriendly one at that.

We got a “new to us” cat from a shelter in February. She’s about four years old, and a little shy. She likes to go up high on stuff, and has been found lurking on dressers and windowsills. Another thing she likes to do is sit on the second floor landing and watch what we’re doing on the first floor. It’s been three months and she’s still getting used to us. So Cat is probably doing the same thing, checking you out from above. He’s probably not UN-friendly, maybe just wary. It’s good that you’re giving him space… he probably appreciates it more than you know!

Maybe not a conversationalist, but seems to want your company! Baby steps (very slow baby)…

Sounds like our tortoise cat, she wants everyone’s attention, but on her terms. But, she also wants to know where her people are, and even though she is outside, you are her person.
