So many of the storebought breads have added sugar. Making it at home, I don’t often put much, if any, sugar in my bread. An alternative to bread is flour tortillas. They’re so quick and easy to make and they’re very easy to re-heat and taste like fresh when heated.
This is the recipe I use. It makes 15 or 16 small tortillas so I divide the dough into the number of tortillas I’m going to make, depending on the size I want, shape them into balls and cover them. For breakfast this morning, I made the number we needed and then after breakfast, I finished rolling the rest of them out and cooked them.
I store them with parchment paper between them, in the fridge in a zipper type bag, and when I’m ready to reheat them, I simply reheat them, either in a hot, dry skillet or directly over the flame.
So easy . . I always have flour, oil, water, salt and baking powder on hand and they can be made in no time!

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! I have tried to make tortillas at home once before and it was an epic fail. Hopefully these will turn out well for me, because I’m going to make them tonight to serve with Chorizo Corn Chowder.
