Campside Cardi Finished

After soaking and blocking, I’m pretty happy with my Campside Cardi.

I knitted the front band a bit wider so the gap is about 2″ instead of 3″. I saw some where they closed the gap by knitting the band wider but to me, those front bands looked a bit overpowering. Since we’re on this new way of eating . . yet again . . I’m hoping to close the gap by dropping more than a few pounds.

I’m still a little unhappy with the sleeves. I knew from reading the comments about the pattern that the sleeves were tight. I calculated the circumference of my arm, as well as  I went up a size on the sleeves and still added 6 extra stitches. They’re moderately ok now. Losing those “few” pounds will help and surely I’ll have enough pounds off by the time we’re wearing sweaters again.

Binding

Binding

For the bind off I did K2tbl, then slip the stitch back on the left needle and it made a very nice bind off. It reminds me a bit of an I-cord.

The yarn is Madelinetosh DK Twist and the color is Pendleton Red. I love all things Madelinetosh and I really love this red!

I must have missed the post about a diet???? What are you doing? I have started back on the low carbs which works for me and I still get to eat. Paula in KY. Oh and I love the red sweater.

Lovely sweater! You have more sweaters living in Texas than those of us who live up north! My knitting is put up for the summer and I am sewing on Craftsy’s BOM. On the outer borders now and that takes me a bit of time. Will probably not get this month’s border done before the next step hits on June 1, but I am determined that this quilt will NOT become another UFO!
