Yesterday I saw two snakes but I’m not sure I didn’t see the same snake twice but for sure . . two different times, some snake scared me half to death.
I had been picking berries in the woods and was being very careful to listen for snakes and coming back to the house in the RTV, a big yellowish snake crossed right in front of me. He was moving quickly and I didn’t have time to do anything to him.
Later, it was almost dusk and I was out in the garden, went to turn the water off and there was a big yellowish snake again. Same snake maybe or . . maybe not. I went back to the house to get Vince and by the time we got back out there, the snake was gone.
I was being very cautious about every sound, every step I took, everything that moved and I was watching my feet. As I turned the corner to go shut off the main outside water hydrant, I was about 6″ from the old chicken jail and there was Cat, sitting right there, eyeball to eyeball.
I screamed . . I think I screamed twice. Cat just looked at me like I was weird.
He’s (who probably is a she . . I know!) a weird cat. He never bothered to move and I stood within a foot of him and took pictures but yet earlier, he was under the car and I got about 6 feet from him and he was hissing at me.
Some day I’m going to pet that cat!

Wow,Cat’s coat is looking really good. Even though he won’t come near you (except today!) you are taking such great care of him.

It’s good to have goals (dreams?!) in life, Judy! Ha. A stray cat has recently taken a liking to my family and now won’t stop talking! He meows constantly and follows us around (even hanging around outside the bathroom door!). So, be careful what you wish for!

Maybe you will get to pet him yet. I can’t believe he didn’t jump and run away when you screamed.
Theresa says
If he’d been turned differently, you could have settled the whole he/she issue.
