When Nicole and I were making our salads in jars, Addie walked in and saw black olives draining on towels and she was so excited . . “I LOVE black olives! They’re my favorite!” But, she loves EVERYTHING and whatever she sees is her favorite. I wasn’t sure if she would eat them but handed her a couple of them and she did love them and by the time she was done running in and grabbing a handful of olives, we were trying to hurry and get what was left stuck in our jars before she ate them all. We called Chad and asked him to bring more home that night.

The next morning, she woke me up early and said “Granny! Let’s wake up and go eat olives!” I like black olives too but eating them for breakfast .. maybe not! Addie didn’t mind at all though . . she does love them!

That’s so funny! I remember as a kid we really only had black olives at holidays in relish dishes and we would always go in and put one on each finger (and thumb) and then walk around eating them off our hands. Looks like you are having a wonderful time!

My grandson is a very picky eater but he will eat all the black olives he can get. Go figure! I like them in something but not just to eat by the handfuls. Sometimes that’s all he wants for dinner….that or peanut butter on a spoon which he calls a peanut butter popsicle. Kids are so funny. Adie is so pretty and seems very energetic. My Stepdad used to say he wishes he had half their energy and all their worries.

As a child I can still remember eating an entire can of black olives. I ended up sicker than a dog but do you think that cured me? Nope, I still love black olives and especially when eaten off your fingers. I even like black olives on my pizza. Yum!

I had some black olives in the refrig – and my youngest grandson saw them and “yum grapes” (I wasnt home) – so of course PaPa said yes you can have them – he took one bite and spit it out! LAter I asked him why he didnt like black olives – he said he did – but his mouth was expecting grapes!!!
