We’ve had drizzle every day for a week. We didn’t get a lot of rain but almost every day, all week, it drizzled. I make 100 trips back and forth to the shop every day and that’s just far enough for the top of my head to get wet. Then I go out to the chicken coop 5 or 6 times a day to check on the baby chicks and my pants get wet on the tall weeds. Really, for the whole week, I stayed wet from head to toe. Thank goodness, it was not cold outside.
Today, we were meeting friends down in Brady for lunch. It was supposed to be pretty but it was a bit cloudy and overcast early but by the time we left, the sky was beautiful and the sun was peeking around the clouds.
Even the bridge that I had to cross last week, that was scary for me, isn’t nearly so scary when Vince is driving.
It was a great day to get out and enjoy some time with friends.
Our little part of Texas is gorgeous this time of year. With the rain, everything is great and gorgeous. Wild flowers will be blooming soon. I’m trying to absorb it all and fill my “I love Texas” bank because by the time July, August and September are here, with the heat and lack of rain, I’ll be loving anywhere BUT Texas! 🙂
