Is there anyone still needing help with the Hitofude or has everyone finished or given up?
My second one still isn’t blocked but I like it even better than the first one.
On the first one, I added length but I added it nearer the bottom. On the second one, I added extra repeats nearer the top (just below the “waist” ribbing, and then again after the B and C charts instead of after the D and E charts. I also made one extra repeat so the blue one is 8 rows longer than the green one and the fullness starts later down towards the bottom.
I’ll get it blocked eventually and then show photos of them on the body form for comparison.
The skein of yarn is what I was kind of thinking I’d use for a third one but I’m thinking if I make another one, it needs to be something brighter or brownish. The skein is too much the same color as the blue one I just finished.
The green one is made with Madelinetosh Twist Light and the blue one is made with String Theory Caper Sock. Both knitted up beautifully and I’m so happy with them.
If anyone needs help or needs the KAL to continue, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help you.

I see you doing something with your knitting that some people don’t consider. The most expensive thing you use in a project is your time. I see you using yarn that is worthy of your time for a perfectly wonderful finished project.

I just finished the three repeats under the waist band last night. I’d like to add to the length a bit too. I think I will add it at the B & C charts too. Thanks for the suggestion, it is so helpful to me to “see” the different ways of lengthening the sweater.

I’m still slowly plugging along. I’m just about ready to bind off the neck edge…I’m doing the first round of sock madness though, so I have to take a week or two off from the sweater to knit my sock(s). Once I’m done with that, I’ll go back to the Hitofude. Having to go to work sure cuts into knitting time! 🙂

You’ve convinced me to knit this, I’ve virtually known you for so long and read your blog with coffee EVERYDAY….and if your considering a 3rd I have to try it. I just printed it off and will get my needles and yarn out (only have a generic sock yarn but it will have to do) So I may be popping in with questions. I watched the episode of Knit 1 heart 2 podcast and Wendy swore her way through it so I was never going to do it….so your success has made me now see it possible. I too want to lengthen it the same way you did so beware I’ll be asking for help I’m sure..LOL. Your cooking and knitting inspire me as your quilting always did.. so much so that tonight I’m making that sausage with cabbage dinner….looks so YUM. Thanks for the daily inspiration and sharing.

I LOVE this sweater….its SO pretty! But, I live in South Florida and just can’t completely convince myself that I need this sweater! I’m a sock knitter and maybe a scarf or 2, so my stash never has more than 2 skeins of anything! Wondering how it would be to wear if I knit a 50/50 wool/silk blend still too hot? Heck, don’t think I’ve ever knit a sweater – but I can follow directions…just don’t know, so indecisive! So much that I miss good deals – missed the Instant Pot black Friday, told myself I didn’t need it – several weeks go by, got to have it so ordered at $119 – so glad I have it now its turned me into a cook! 🙂 (happy hubby too!) Oh well, blabbed on enough now – LOVE your blog and that you coerce us into buying cool stuff!
