Do you ever:
- Feel elated to finish a monster quilt project, but at the same time, feel a bit sad that the project coming to an end?
- Have a great book that you cannot put down, finish the book and have a wonderful sense of accomplishment at having finished the book and can’t wait to start another book but, after reading a great book, it’s really hard to make yourself get interested in a new book?
That’s how I feel right now with my knitting. I finished Hitofude #2 over the weekend and even though it isn’t blocked or photographed yet, I love it. Then I finished Addie’s cat hat today.
What on earth will I work on next? I still have two projects to do for Loopy Academy. The Loopy Monthly Mixer project guidelines have been posted for March. I need to dig and see what I can come up with.
It’s kinda sad to finish a couple of good projects and not really know what’s next. Any suggestions? Hitofude is such a fun project . . hard to top that one!

hmmmmmm, you could go back and work on a quilt. . . . . . . . . . .sometimes we just need a break from whatever it is we have been working on.

Yes, and Yes. On the quilting front, I usually spend some time looking through my patterns to find one that I had forgotten about or haven’t made yet, and then I find myself getting excited again (but that is after a few days/weeks off after finishing the monster!). On the reading front, I usually go to magazines for a while until I long for more of a story again. I am sure you’ll find something to get excited about again soon!

That’s a good kind of lost. That kind of lost can get really creative. Odd and wonderful things come from that end of project emptiness.
