Sunday I finished my Lissome Cowl, which is my Slipped Stitch project for Loopy Academy.
The pattern calls for 9 repeats for the version I made. It’s almost long enough to wear doubled but if I had planned to wear it double, I would make at least 10, probably 11, repeats.
The pattern is written and charted so it should work for everyone. I bound off with three needle bind off but if I were doing it again, I’d probably do a kitchener stitch.
I used Cascade Superwash Sport, which is soft, easy to work with and inexpensive. It’s $6.25 per skein at The Loopy Ewe and it took 3 skeins. I could have gotten another two repeats out of that third skein so, for less than $20, you can get a really nice cowl. I ordered 4 skeins because I wasn’t sure which pattern I was going to use. I think I can come up with a pattern for fingerless mittens to use the remaining yarn.

Ooo, very pretty! I like the scallop-y look. May have to wait awhile for the kind of weather you’d need to wear it! 🙂

I miss seeing you model your projects.

It’s pretty rare for me to model my projects. I do not like having my picture taken.
