The Loopy Ewe sends a little package of Tootsie Rolls in every box. They’re Loopy kisses!
Before we go any farther, Vince truly doesn’t care how much yarn I buy. He knows that I’m halfway reasonable with my yarn buying. He knows I don’t spend money on much other stuff. He understands how much money I save with my frugal grocery buying and cooking. He probably wishes I didn’t buy quite so much yarn because . . it doesn’t take a whole lot of yarn to fill up a house the size of ours. It’s pretty fluffy!
But, he loves to give me a hard time about buying yarn . . to the point that I almost feel guilty . . not quite, but almost. So, I figure whatever I can sneak in . . that’s just one less hassle.
One box of yarn arrived yesterday. Friday. Vince was at work. It was unpacked, photographed and put away. I knew there was a chance a second box would arrive today. He knows I’m doing Loopy Academy. Box #1 was Loopy Academy yarn, along with yarn for Addie’s hat. Box #2 was yarn that might get used for Loopy Academy because i was second guessing my first choices. You understand that, right? But, Vince wouldn’t. My plan was this . . Box #2 arrives and I say “Oh! That! It’s just yarn for Loopy Academy!” No hassle, no aggravation. He never knows anything about Box #1.
So, no mention was made of Box #1’s arrival yesterday. I had checked tracking this morning and knew Box 2 would arrive today. Oops . . those Saturday deliveries are mighty hard to sneak in.
I left this morning and was gone several hours. When I got home, this was strategically placed on my placemat.
Loopy Kisses! Not hidden away yesterday! Left, where one of those conniving dogs could get to them and leave evidence that a Box of Fun had arrived recently! Busted! Then, Vince went down to the landfill and stopped to check mail on his way back to the house. There was Box #2.
That got me thinking . . if I order enough yarn, it comes in a box that doesn’t fit in the mailbox and either I have to go to the post office and get it, or meet the mail lady and get it. The smaller boxes, with less yarn, fit into the mail box, possibly to be retrieved by Vince. I’ve learned a valuable lesson today: Order more instead of less when it comes to yarn!
I would be a terrible criminal because despite thinking I’ve done so well, I never completely cover my tracks.

You would think with all I do for them, and all the times I cover up for their mistakes, I’d get a little more respect from them. I guess when chocolate is involved, we never know how far one might go.

Oh my goodness – thanks for the laugh! I needed that. You are hysterical!

I’m laughing hysterically at this! I so get you. I’m doing the Glorious Hexagons project, and you get a package of papers once per month, hubby knows about this. I’ve been waiting all week for the package to come and asked him daily to check the mail and to call me at work if it comes (he gets home much earlier than and always gets to the mail first on weekdays). I had forgotten I set up the packages to be sent to work, but I did and they showed up on Thursday. I didn’t mention that it came because I had seen the Pies and Tarts pattern earlier this week and ordered the papers for those too. They came Friday – at home. Hubby called and said “your package came” (thinking it was Glorious Hexagons that I had been waiting for). LOL – he was none the wiser even though it came from a different company, because he has no clue. I was laughing to myself thinking I don’t have to explain that one – whew!! Like Vince, he truly doesn’t care but I don’t like packages coming right after the other and get the “comments”. Ha ha!

Hilarous! Now, every month I’ll be thinking of you and your hexagons! You can order a package to be sent every month and when it arrives, he’ll never know it’s really package #2. 🙂

I was laughing reading today’s blog and my husband asked me “what has Judy done today”? He said he feels sorry for Vince (not really as far as I’m concerned).

This is funny. Most of the time I get the mail when it comes in the mailbox, so I don’t have any of those problems. He wouldn’t mind either what I order. Hope the dogs did not eat much of your tootsie rolls.
