For maybe 8 or 9 years I’ve been making springerle cookies and I was content with my rolling pin . .
until a couple of weeks ago when I found Springerle Joy. The molds, as well as things they make from the molds, are so gorgeous. I can’t even sleep at night for thinking about them and NOTHING keeps me awake. I told myself that there’s no need to order now because I won’t be using them til Christmas next year but I Just couldn’t get them out of my head and . . you know how crazy things are inside my head.
So, I ordered a few and they arrived and they were so pretty that I ordered a few more. I think I’ll be practicing making springerles all year! There are other things – crackers, and other cookies – that I can make.
Here are some of my favorites that I received. Just look at the amazing details!
You can’t live in this part of Texas not get excited about a big buck cookie mold!
And, with my love of chickens, I had to get a rooster mold.
Isn’t this one gorgeous?
I can’t wait to see this one made up.
I can use this one all year for sure!
There are more but for fear of Vince seeing them and knowing how many I ordered, I’m stopping now. Maybe in the next day or so, I’ll try making some crackers and using the molds.

Judy, you are just TOO funny!!! I’ve seen some of those molds before and they are beautiful! Think my fav of yours pictured is the boy and snowman. Are the ones pictured from your rolling pin? (no clue never having made those springerles)

I rescued an antique mold for those cookies. Unfortunately it is curled the wrong way. I think it is made of lead, so of course I wouldn’t use it anyway, BC of that. It was in my FIL home, the family owned and ran a German Bakery yrs ago (yes he was Irish 2nd generation US! LOL ) I’d like to hang it up some way, but it is SO heavy. It has a wood back where they would hold it and stamp the cookies. Someday I’ll figure out how to hang it,

Gee Whiz! I looked at those and thought neat Rug Hooking patterns they would make if enlarged and drawn on linen. Can you tell where my mind is at?
