Last night I started the sheep sweater for Addie. It’s all stash yarn that was purchased in January, 2014 to make the sweater for Addie.
Maybe some day I will love intarsia/color work but right now, I do not like it. The pattern calls for two rows of the sheep on the front and back. Because it isn’t worked in the round, I had to have “bobbins” and not carry the yarn along. Oh, how I dislike that. Every 5 or 6 rows, I’d have to stop and untangle it.
About halfway into the first row of sheep, I decided there was no way I was putting sheep on the back side of the sweater. About 2/3 of the way into the first row of sheep, I decided I was putting one row of sheep on the front side and that was it but I talked myself into staying up and getting two rows done on the front but that’s it!
The rest of this sweater should go really quickly. The yarn for the sheep was fuzzy and splitty . . oh, I’m so glad to be past that part.
The sizing was 2-4 or 4-6 so I made the 4-6 and it may be too big for her this year but I’d rather it be too big than too small.

Stinkin cute!!! I am working on the Omena vest. I am on the 2nd color. I see a couple of mistakes but not bad and its for me. I am not a great knitter yet, but I am trying. It’s fun and easy to schlep along in the truck. I am taking it to California this week. Not sure I am ready for the new KAL but I am improving, so well see. Thanks for the inspiration!

It’s so cute. When you are finished with it you could store it for next Christmas. Just think one gift will be finished for aa 2016 Christmas present.

It is going to be darling. Glad you talked yourself into doing the second row of sheep. I agree that the back does not need the sheep.

So cute! Almost makes me want to pick up my “living-room-decoration” knitting needles and learn how to make them work.
