Don’t think I’m trying to talk you into doing the Knit Along because there’s nothing in it for me . . whether you do it or not, but . . this is the most enjoyable cardigan I’ve ever knit. It had enough “difference” and change to keep it interesting.
It’s blocking now. I don’t know how much you can see but the lace design in the back stays the same but on each side, it gets extra stitches between the “columns” as it goes larger and that gives it the “swing”.
Once it’s dry, I’ll get a picture of it on the dress form. I have tried it on and it’s an absolutely perfect fit and because of the way it fits, I think even IF I lose weight, it will still fit just fine.
The yarn is hand dyed, tone on tone and you can see some light areas, which I think will be pretty cool when it’s being worn and swishing.
I have yarn for a second one . . ready to start . . maybe tonight!

Gorgeous! And you finished by Christmas! Congrats!

Beautiful! Can’t wait to see it on the dress form. Do you think it would be too complicated to make full length sleeves?

It is beautiful! I wish I didn’t have a sweater for my son and two cross-stitch stockings to make first!

OK now I’m intrigued my friend. Wendy from knit one heart2 podcast had a difficult time dealing with it but did finish it. So though I liked it I didn’t want to commit to buying yarn I can hardly afford to make one. But now I’m inspired…you flew through that and it is beautiful, so you have caught my interest…especially with casting on another one. If you could model it I would so appreciate it as I can see how it flows. It’s beautiful. Merry Christmas Judy and Vince.

Thanks for all the help on your project page and the link to Julie’s page. I’ve been planning to make this sweater but knew I would need to make many mods to make it fit the way i wanted it to.

I’ve had this on my list for months, but too intimidated to start. Maybe I will give it a try. I already have the yarn ready to go. I think you are right, don’t read ahead and try to figure it out. Trust the designer. That is why I kept getting intimidated.

I really like this! It’s a cool way to see it, all flared out. That looks like a really nice sweater.
