My reason for being in Missouri . . like I need a reason . . is Addie’s pre-school Christmas program. When I came in August for her birthday, I didn’t plan to come again til spring, mostly because of the weather and it’s hard for Vince to carry on when I’m not home . . animals to feed, dogs that don’t sleep half the night, a greenhouse to keep warm and watered but when Nicole mentioned coming for the Christmas program, I started packing. It’s pretty unusual for the weather in Texas and Missouri to be cooperative in December. Between snow in Missouri, ice in Texas and rain in either place, as well as me not wanting to drive in rain or snow, a trip from December to March is pretty “iffy”. But the dates before and after the Christmas program, the weather was perfect, all the way from central Texas to southwest Missouri. It’s been a wonderful trip and I’m so happy I was able to attend Addie’s Christmas program. Chad was off, Nicole’s parents, grandparents and her sister and a friend all drove down for the program so Addie had her own little fan club!
She got all dressed up in her new dress and shoes!
When she first got on stage, she was looking and looking or us and I thought she was about to cry. Then she spotted me and said “There’s my Granny!” She called her teacher over and was sating “I see my Granny!”
She was singing her songs and enjoying the program.
I’m so glad I was able to come make a trip for Chad’s birthday and Addie’s Christmas program.

I’m hoping that the weather holds for a while longer through your area. We leave (from S.E. MN) for So. Texas right after Christmas.
Addie is the sweetest and I’m so glad that this trek worked!!!! That is a wonderful family photo!!!!!! Ya never really know how a child is going to do in such a program.

What a wonderful photo of all of them. Blow it up and have it framed – one for you and Vince and one for them. I know how proud of them you must be! And for toppers – so glad that you could be there!
Merry Christmas!

We were in Fulton, MO over the weekend. It is 640 miles from Georgia and this is the second trip in 3 weeks. The first time it snowed and this time it rained but the temperature was in the 60’s during the day.
Unfortunately we went for my MIL’s funeral so it was sad but still good to see everyone. Glad you went for a happy occasion.

This has truly been a trip full of wonderful memories to travel home with. I know Vince, the dogs and Cat have missed you, but what a sweet homecoming you will have too. Drive safely.

This is wonderful that you are visiting Chad, Nicole & Addie especially to attend her Christmas Program & to be there for Chad’s birthday! I hope that you get your own framed picture of the 3 of them in front of the Christmas Tree ~ they are truly a beautiful little family! Silly me! I have little tears (of joy, of course) after reading this post!

The weather has been surprisingly agreeable here in NE too. That week this month in the 50s & 60s totally spoiled us. We’ve had a little snow, a little ice, but it never lasts long with the mild temps.
Addie’s Christmas program fan section sounds like my granddaughter’s basketball cheering section at her last game I went to….thirteen plus a baby & a pre-schooler who didn’t really pay attention to the game. 🙂

Grand little family, and yay for you that you could be there!

I thought there was a good reason the sun has been shining so brightly here in MO the last few days. It was because you were here and the happy occasion of the Christmas program and birthday. Addie looked like the angel that she is. Chad looks more handsome as he matures and slimmer too. Great family photo of them all.
