Cat is still hanging around. I think she’s given up hunting and just sits around waiting for one of us to feed her. Vince is so easy. He’ll feed her over and over.
Just after daylight when I go outside to let the chickens out, there’s Cat . . sitting on the platform waiting to be fed. I feed her . . then I let the chickens out. She knows Vince comes home about noon for lunch so she’s back on the platform waiting for lunch. Vince comes home for lunch so Cat is back out waiting to be fed. About 4:30, Cat is back waiting to be fed. Then, about dark I go out to feed the chickens, and . . yep, there’s Cat waiting to be fed again.
Not long ago, I’d see Cat only in the morning and in the evening but now she pretty much hangs around all day. I’ll see her out in the orchard, or in the garden, or . . sitting on the platform waiting to be fed.
Vince took a big box and put an old mattress pad in there, and a couple of old towels. It’s up under the carport, against the shop and out of the wind. Cat has been sleeping in the box.
She still hisses at me if I get close to her but so far, I never push my luck by trying to get too close and she’s never been aggressive towards me. I wish I could get a closer picture of her. Since she’s been eating good cat foot, and her coat has gotten really pretty. Her fur is thick and there’s lots more brown showing through the black.
I wish she would let me get closer but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Maybe Miss Kitty had a bad experience with a woman. Or maybe Vince is the man of her dreams.
