Addie’s Quilt – EQ File Shared

First, because I’m no longer maintaining some of the websites I used to keep, I’ve had to load this file to a free hosting site so if you have problems with it (now or later), please let me know and I may have to make some changes. That’s a bit of “fluff” you have to get through to get to the file but . . it’s a free site and you’re getting the file for free so please take that into consideration.

I’ve added the file for Addie’s Big Girl quilt to the EQ files. (See tab near top of page). You must have Electric Quilt 7 (or greater when that happens) in order to open the file.

You shouldn’t have any problems with the file except I wanted to share a bit of info about the pieced borders. Because it’s sometimes nearly impossible to get a border that’s the right size for everything to work out, I had to do a bit of finagling. Here’s how I did it:

• The pieced blocks, as well as the non-pieced blocks in the pieced border EXCEPT for the solid yellow pieces at each end of the border are all 5″ x 5″ unfinished.
• The end pieces on the top and bottom border should be cut 6″ x 5.5″.
• The end pieces on the side borders should be cut 7″ x 5.5″.

Assume in the diagrams below. the red pieces are the pieced blocks, the green pieces are the 5″ (finished) squares and the blue pieces are the pieces that are cut 6″ x 5.5″ and will finish at 5.5″ x 5″ for the top and bottom borders and those blue pieces will be cut 7″ x 5.5″ and will finish at 6.5″ x 5″ for the side borders.
