One of my best friends from my growing up years .. her aunt wrote a new children’s book, The Night Before Mardi Gras. As soon as Gail mentioned it on Facebook, I asked her if she would send one to Addie. We left Louisiana when Chad was 9, lived in Kentucky 9 years and has now been in Missouri 9 years but he’s always considered Louisiana “home” so I knew he would be thrilled for Addie to get a Mardi Gras children’s book.

I love how she’s sitting there with her legs crossed and “George” sitting next to her.
This book would be a great Christmas gift for kiddos . . especially anyone with a Louisiana connection.
