Vince wasn’t coming home for lunch today so I had big plans .. sit in my easy chair and knit A.L.L. day! What happens in your world? When you think you have a whole day to yourself . . does it ever work out that way? Doesn’t seem to around here!
I had called in prescription refills and was supposed to pick those up yesterday but ran out of time so I had to go by the pharmacy. Several years ago I gave up getting prescriptions through the mail but it surely was more convenient than having to go to the pharmacy. So . . to the pharmacy, to the bank, to Aldi, to United, to the garden center to get onions to plant. By then I was hungry so I stopped at Schlotsky’s and got a sandwich.
Now I’m home, dogs have been out, another load of laundry is going . . Vince is not coming home for dinner either so maybe there’s hope that I can finish the hat I’m knitting on . . maybe but probably not! I’m headed to the sewing room to sit and discuss the world’s problems with Boots while I knit!

Maybe I can do what I want if I leave my house and do it elsewhere!

One of my dear friends told me once (when I was complaining about plans going awry) that the answer was simple – quit making plans. 🙂

I totally understand and I feel your pain. 😉

Never works that way for me either! Never understood why things go awry when I have the day filled with “me” stuff and not so much when it involves others.

Same thing used to happen at work. One day I realized that the interruptions are the work.

Welcome to my world the past 13 months! I have pretty much quit making plans.

I know just what you mean. At least Vince is still working. When my husband retired I gave up making plans, because they never seemed to work out. I love the man and wouldn’t trade him, but it sure would be nice if he had a part time job a couple of days a week. I really miss my days at home alone.

Oh yes the retirement……………. What is that?I think we work harder now is seems like than ever before. Time to yourself that is a laugh at that one too. You forget that when men folk are at home too. Judy sorry you didn’t ge tot knit maybe tomorrow. That is what I always say to make myself better….There is always a tomorrow we hope.
It would be boring and dull with men not at home but gee let me have some me time please.
