It’s a good thing I put my glasses on first thing this morning . . and didn’t do my usual – stumble into the kitchen, feed the begging dogs while still half asleep and then put my glasses on. The only reason I had already put them on is because I was checking to see if Nicole had sent me a text last night after I went to bed.
That’s 2 I’ve found inside in less than 2 weeks and you know I’m not seeing every one that’s in here. Makes me scared to touch anything .. including my chair, my knitting, my bed.
No, I’m not brave .. I’m very wimpy this morning and I want to start a “discussion” about why we need professional pest control but in the morning before work is not the time to do it .. nor is the evening before dinner or before bed so I shall step out on a limb, make the “executive”decision and just call the pest control company myself. What can it hurt to try it for 6 months and see if there’s an improvement? Ask me how that goes the first time the pest control guy shows up . . SURPRISE, Vince! 🙁

Oh no not those things again. Be careful and don’t get stung on your feet again. And yes call someone to come and get rid of them. Wish you had our cat he eats all the bugs he can find. Hey maybe the cat inside would help.

Oh, that little thing? You bet I would call the bug man!

And that’s why I live in Michigan…..

Any houses for sale in your area? 🙂

I’m thinking the pest control could be cheaper than the medical bills if you get stung. Yikes! Makes my skin crawl just looking at the picture.
Mary says
Yeah, that isn’t my idea of a great house guest! My DH takes care of our pest control but I think he would agree to professional help on this!

A girl’s gotta do, what a girl’s gotta do! No permission needed. I agree, pest control is likely to be less expensive than medical bills. You are really making me appreciate my Wisconsin life even with the long winters! No scorpions, no termites, no rattlesnakes, our grasshoppers aren’t monsters (or numerous), we’ve had plenty of rain this year, and the summer heat isn’t like yours either in intensity or duration.
Joyce says
If I had scorpions, I’d have the pest company on speed-dial! I don’t like bugs like roaches, but scorpions would be much worse.

ONLY 2 ?? I found 3 the day we got home from a 2 week vacation! I even have a set of tweezers JUST for scorpions. I have heard that there is a new scorpion spray…and I have also heard that you cannot spray for them- just for their food. My dog even kind of alerts me when he sees one- and he is a scottish terrier mix!

I could not live in Texas. So glad I live in Sonoma County, CA. This would just take me over the edge. I would have an exterminator for sure. Maybe even have the house fumigated. Keep us posted. So scary.
Sherrill says
Ummm, don’t you guys have earthquakes?! YIKES!
Angie Kiker says
People that don’t live in Calif. think we have earthquakes all the time. We don’t. And I’ll take an earthquake any time compared to a tornado or flooding or scorpions in my house. I’ve lived here all my life. Had a few quakes, but nothing shook enough that would make me live anyplace else.

I’m with Joyce about having pest control on speed dial! And I like “executive decisions”… I’m about to make quite a few of those here, but they don’t have to do with pests of the critter kind. ;p
Sherrill says
I think you’ve been VERY patient!!! I’d have been on the phone a couple of years ago!!! 🙂
Loretta Hodge says
I’ve always lived under the philosophy that it’s easier to get forgiveness than permission especially when dangerous critters are involved!

ugh ugh ugh ugh!!!

If it saves you from more bites it will be worth it
