If you’re a knitting granny or a knitting mom, you have to make this sweater! It goes so quickly and with the stripes, it’s a fun knit. I’m using Cascade 220 Superwash so it isn’t a super expensive sweater to knit. It could easily be made from leftover yarns as each stripe takes about 60 yards for the size 5-6.
Please excuse that I was too lazy to get up and take a decent picture so it’s sitting on my lap!
The pattern is Atlantic Coast and it was just released this month. I saw it and since I already had some of the Cascade 220 Superwash, I knew I had to make it for Addie. I started it Tuesday night so you can see how quickly it knits up. I’m going to make Addie a matching hat using the companion Atlantic Tour pattern.
The Hitofude project is going great but I needed a break from the fingering weight yarn. My plan was to knit one colored section of Addie’s sweater per night and get back to Hitofude but the rainbow sweater is too cute and I couldn’t put it down. I hope to get the main part of the sweater finished today and then get back to Hitofude. Over the weekend, I should be able to get Addie’s sleeves done and then get the hat done and get it sent off to her. They’re having sweater weather already. Wish we were!

Your rainbow version of this sweater is wonderful. Keeping your mother in my thoughts and prayers.

This is really cute. Are you knitting it for the rainbow ESK badge?
