Over the weekend, I told Vince . . I think I’m more excited about the greenhouse than I am anything we’ve done here. But, the truth is, I’m most excited about whatever we’re doing at the moment.
Vince worked over the weekend to finish up the things that needed done before we could move the plants in.
Vince had a little accident this weekend and didn’t get to finish all the things he wanted to do but he did get the water line all hooked up. I now have water outside and inside the greenhouse.
Every time I walk into the greenhouse, I smile because there are 12 electric plugs, plus a 220 plug. In the house, I’m not sure we have a total of 12 electric plugs! Really, we do but each of the extra bedrooms has 3 of those double outlets so, without strips, only 6 things can be plugged in at once. Why would you not put at least one outlet in all four walls?
The tables still don’t have legs but Vince will get to that as soon as he can.
We have rain predicted for Friday .. possibly thunderstorms, which could mean wind and a lot of my plants were sitting on tables to keep the chickens from eating them. It’s cool enough now that I can put them in the greenhouse without them roasting so yesterday morning, I was out moving plants.
It took a few trips but I got everything in the greenhouse. I’m thankful that we positioned the greenhouse so that I can drive right through a gate and I’m there.
Everything is in there now except for a few asparagus plants that I started from seeds. I need more plants! In early spring, I’ll start the seeds for the garden and those will take up some small amount of space.
On this side are tomatoes, mini bananas, ginger, turmeric, goji berries, lichee, basil, thyme . . I can’t remember what all is in there. The containers with nothing growing are the ones in which I’ve just planted lettuce, spinach, and some winter things that I can’t plant in the garden til the grasshoppers leave.
I have four pots of goji berries and two of them are loaded with berries.
On the other side of the greenhouse are the lemon trees.
I don’t know if you can see all the little tiny limes but I’ve been picking limes for a month now and the tree is still producing blooms and new fruit.
In a few years, no doubt we’ll be saying . . not everything fits in the greenhouse. What do we leave out? But for now, it’s nice to have plenty of room in there.

First off, hope Vince is doing OK. And WOW!! I just can’t believe all that the two of you do every single day. And your produce is going great guns. I get so mad at my Meyer lemon every year as I only get a few lemons (this year think there are only 4 remaining!!!) and wonder why I bother with it. I was just thinking as I read your post that before very long that greenhouse will be bulging!! But that’s a good thing.
