Probably 4 months ago, we were visiting “neighbors” . . the ones past our closest neighbor. As we were leaving, we saw a mama turkey and a bunch of babies and two of them were albinos. A few days later, Vince saw them on the side of the road and since then, no one has seen them. We haven’t had any pictures of them on the trail cams and as far as I know, our neighbor, who feeds the turkeys and has a lot of them hanging around, had not seen them either.
I was sitting in the living room video chatting with Nicole. I looked up and there were probably 30 turkeys just outside our fence on the neighbor’s land.
The pictures were taken with my cell phone from a long ways away but you can see that it’s a white turkey. Both of them were out there.
How cool is that?

You, undoubtedly, have the neatest and most unusual experiences of any one I know! How cool? Cool indeed! Great pics.

Life is so fun out here. I moan and complain about the heat and bugs but the good so far outweighs the bad. I can’t imagine getting up every day and having the exact same activities/scenery.
I was just out playing with my plants. We have lots of baby tomatoes on the pot plants that will go into the greenhouse and I harvested my first ginger from the roots I planted a few months back.
Even if we had to move tomorrow (which I don’t think is happening), I’ll look back on these years in Texas as some of our best and most fun times.

So is that where the “white meat” comes from? 😉
(okay – that was bad but I couldn’t resist)

I have hardly EVER seen turkeys in the wild..seen em a couple of times around here but saw them nearly every morning when we visited in Pagosa Springs (more times when visiting than I ever saw when I lived there!!). SO cool seein’ em stroll by.

We had a white turkey here in Tennessee. He/she didn’t last long!!

We have a lot of white turkeys mixed in with our wild turkey flocks that roam around here in Sonoma County, CA. Our son in law says they are a result of cross breeding between the “wild ones” and the domesticated turkey.
