Today Addie goes to “play day” for an hour and this is the pre-pre-school. Pre-school begins next week.
Ready for School
How is this child growing up so quickly? She’s so excited to be going to school. I can’t wait to hear how excited she is once she realizes mommy isn’t staying with her.
I have to tell you a funny story. Chad went fishing over the weekend. He has his mother’s heart for stray animals. A dog had obviously been dumped. She was skinny and looked bad. She followed Chad everywhere he went and of course, she ended up coming home with him.
Addie has named her Rita! What they’re saying is “We’re not keeping her. We’re going to try to find her a home.” Supposedly, if they can’t find a home for her, she will have to go to the shelter. We’ll see.
I just thought it was so funny that their other dog is named Speck and the new dog is named Rita. Can you imagine the chaos if we ever get together with our dogs and they all have the same names!

Oh my goodness – she looks SO grown up!!! That is funny about the new Rita! I have a feeling she might be staying with them :-).

I hope Addie does better than my daughter. We are on day 7 of Kindergarten…and of crying every morning because she is going to miss me!

Yeppers how the grands do grow-Oldest one of mine is at her first week of college. Golly they grow up fast ! Just yesterday it seems like I was holding her right after she was born. Now off to college and engaged, she wants to be a Special Education Teacher for preschool through second grade.
Hope Mom does okay and is ready for the changes that will be … Hope Grandma is ready for the changes !
