My time in Missouri has come to an end and as you’re reading this, I’m on my way back to Texas. I am feeling more confident that we’ll end up back in MO but it will probably be after Vince retires and that’s at least 5 years down the road (if things go according to plans) so who knows what may happen by then. I think everyone is pretty sure Chad is not leaving MO. He loves it here and if he stays with his current job, he can stay here as long as he wants.
I had so much fun with them while was there. We made memories that will have to last me til the next visit. This is the visit that has a long gap between now and the next one. Beginning in early Fall, Chad is consumed with hunting – getting the sites ready and hunting with his friends. That provides meat for them for the whole year so it’s important that he get to do that. Then as soon as Thanksgiving arrives, he’s working such long hours through the holidays that I wouldn’t get to see much of him, and I know what little time he has at home, he’d rather spend with Addie and Nicole without Granny around. Then, the weather in January and February makes it difficult to plan a trip so it may be 5 or 6 months before I get to see them again. We may try to meet in Louisiana in January . . but that’s still a very long time from now.
Here are some of the pictures that will get me through til I see them again.
Nicole was polishing Addie’s nails and she decided she should polish my toe nails.
She got a new bicycle with training wheels and she’s had lots of fun with that. She normally wears a helmet but for this picture, she didn’t have it on.
She also has a new scooter.
She had a birthday party and had the most adorable birthday outfit.
We spent time in the park. Sorry for the blurry picture .. they were moving pretty quickly.
We went to some of Chad’s favorite fishing spots.
I got to watch her play her games on the iPad.
We made cookies. We ate sushi. We worked puzzles. We told stories . . I had a wonderful 10 days with them but all good things must end .. or so they say, so I’m headed home and will begin counting the days til I can see them again.

Enjoyed reading about your trip to Missouri. We have traveled a lot all across the country. And Missouri is as beautiful as any states we have seen. I am a Missouri girl.

Glad your visit went so well. They always end to soon! Your Granddaughter is a beauty. You are lucky to have such a great family, no matter where you live, she is always and forever your Grandbaby 🙂 Sometimes a few precious memories have to do. Thankful that you have such great ones…and lots of photos !!

I love all of your posts, Judy especially those with pictures & your family visits to MO. Oh what a nice little family you have & such a special granddaughter! I wonder if someday as Addie gets older she’ll be able to fly to Tx by herself or be delivered by a parent to have a longer visit with you? Safe travels, my friend!!

Oh, that is a long time! How sad.
I love the pictures that will get you through, though. I think it’s wonderful that Addie’s such a girly-girl, and still enjoys outdoorsy things, like her daddy. She’s a wonderful combination of her parents, isn’t she?

Sounds like you had a fun-filled, jam-packed time with Addie and her mom and dad. I’m so glad. Sorry time went so fast.

Your picture with her looking at the ipad makes me want to reach out and grab her toes.
So cute. Such a blessing!

Great memory pictures to hold you for a few months. Glad you had such a wonderful visit. Addie is such a cute girl and I love that she is both a tomboy and a little lady depending on how she feels at the time. That will serve her well in the future no matter what or where she lives or what she chooses to do in life. You have a wonderful family and you did well in raising a wonderful son to be her father.

They look like a very happy family – no doubt set by the good example from you and Vince – so glad you were able to spend the time with them 🙂
