As a quilter, I have way, way too many projects started and I think that may be another drag on why I don’t have a lot of interest in sewing. There are some projects that I want to get finished but I feel like I need to get Addie’s quilt done ..
and I need to get the quilt finished that I started for Nicole’s sister . .
and I want to get at least one of the Christmas quilts finished.
This one is kinda special to me since it’s one that Sheryl, Denise, Susan and I participated in and Susan is no longer with us. I didn’t realize I had so many blocks done. Maybe I only need one more house block to finish it?? I’ll have to get that one out.
I thought it was two years ago we worked on that but it was in 2012. Yikes!
Maybe I can get Addie’s top finished and then dig out the Christmas Town Sampler.

Did you ever finish Nicole’s Sofa Quilt?

I get that way with knitting projects. Sometimes I just have to pick one and get going on it. I usually find that its not as boring (any more) as I thought it was when I stopped working on it.

It looks like your quilting “mojo” might be returning. I go through times like that when other things seem more fun or more important or the studio is just too messy to deal with…lol This summer has been all celebrations, babies, showers and weddings, so have only done what is needed and has kinda pulled the joy out of creating as each needed a quilt. Am taking time to enjoy the summer as it is almost over and will get back in there soon.
I just want you to know that you were one of the first “famous” quilters I followed and still use your books and patterns to create masterpieces! I love to read all about your life in Texas, your adventures, trials and joys but you will always be, first and foremost, a quilter to me! Thanks Judy.

I pulled out my container of CTS blocks last week to see where I left off. I’d really like to get that one done too. Need to get a quilt off my design wall first so I can lay it all out and see where I left off. I think I have all the blocks done but my sticking point was none of the fabrics I bought for sashing or borders were looking how I wanted with the rest of my fabrics.

I believe it is a good idea to have several projects in various stages of completion. That’s my story, I’m sticking to it!
I have been on a roll lately with knocking UFOs off my list. So much so that I am now working on a project I started this year. 😉 I am hoping I can stick with it until the end. Time will tell.
So much to do, so little time.

They’re all beautiful. When you get started, maybe you’ll find your desire to quilt a lot coming back. =) I miss that.
