My pet of choice is a dog . . I’ve never been much of a cat lover but Boots . . he is the sweetest, most loving cat. He will stand on the cutting table, put his paws on my shoulders and look me right in the eyes and I know he wants to say “I love you!” He’s always purring .. just a happy, makes me smile kind of a cat.
I’ve never thought of cats and how they interact with people . . they seem so independent and stand-offish but Boots is friendly and he rarely sees strangers. He was happy to see Chad, Nicole and Addie. When the a/c guy was here the other day, Boots kinda arched up his back and I thought he was going to hiss at the guy but then he decided to go find a place where he was safe .. he could see what was going on but no one could touch him.
And in about 5 minutes, he totally forgot there was a stranger in the house .. he forgot that he was supposed to be supervising the a/c repairs and he was out. People coming in and out, the phone ringing, Pandora playing . . nothing caused him to stir.
He really is a perfect cat!

Cats do have a way of working their way into people’s lives. They definitely can be aloof, but they can also be needy (just not as needy as a dog). I have to say I love dogs and cats equally. There’s nothing like a dog to make you feel like the BEST person in the world, but there’s something about a cat that touches one. Your animals are blessed to have such a loving home for them to call home!

This is so nice. He’s won you over!
p.s. Don’t even think the tortoiseshell could ever live up to Boots’s precedent…if you ever get close enough to touch her!
