Everyone else probably already knew about these lids but just in case someone doesn’t . . I love these things! If you’re thinking about Christmas gifts of wedding shower gifts, I don’t think you could go wrong with these. I truly love them!
I’m not even sure what you call them but when looking or them, if you google “Charles Viancin”, they all come up. This is my favorite set from Amazon. They say they’re BPA free, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
I first got the glass size last summer at a local store. I love taking a glass of lemonade out on the porch but lemonade seems to attract bugs. If I was knitting, I’d be trying to shoo a bug off my glass without dropping stitches. If I was reading, I’d get lost in my book and then realize there was a bug in my drink.
They do form a tight enough seal that you can pick the whole glass up by holding the knob thing on the lid . . though it probably isn’t a good idea to do so.
I also love that they have the little cutout for hanging. I keep them on the side of my fridge so it’s easy to grab one when needed.
Recently I purchased the oblong one that fits a 9″ x 13″ pan. Even though my 9 x 13 pan came with a lid, I have no idea where it is today. I stack my pans in the cabinet and since keeping the lid on top would mean they don’t stack as tightly, the lid isn’t with the pan. I could put the lid under the pan I suppose, but I didn’t and it’s gone.
When I do make a cake in that size pan, we cover it with foil but first think you know, the edge of the foil has torn or not been folded around the edges and the cake is stale. The 9 x 13 lid worked so well, that I ordered the size to fit the 9″ x 9″ pan.
Then I thought .. I need to put lids on whatever I’m cooking in the solar oven. If there’s steam that escapes, it all collects on the glass oven lid and that blocks the heat from getting through. I can’t use foil because that reflects the sun’s rays away from what I’m cooking.
These lids are supposed to be safe up to 400+ so they’re perfect for the solar oven. They work even better than the lids that came on some of my Corel baking dishes that I use in there. Those glass lids allow steam to escape around the edges and this lid does not.
I’ve only purchased lids that have the cut out for hanging, though I believe there are some that do not have it. I like being able to hang it where I can get to it easily without having to dig.
If you haven’t tried these lids, they’re pretty amazing and come in so many colors, shape and sizes. I’m using the heck out of the ones I have.

I got Dad the glass size last year as he was always spilling his drinks when using the walker. I have the some of the bowl size-use them mainly when putting things in the fridge for later on in the day-like salads. I love them. Recently got some for a friend of mine. Have been getting them at Bed Bath and Beyond. Guess I need to look at Amazon!

These are great – I recently got the bottle stoppers and they work for beer, wine and champagne bottles. And they are a lot easier than trying to put the cork back in the bottle. I use the stoppers even in the house, since that one fly that follows you into the house will always find the glass or bottle.

I have some for cups but didn’t know they made them for larger implements. If I get back to cooking I will have to get me some. Thanks.

I have had mine for a while now and love them. I use them to cover dishes in the microwave. I had not seen the glass size. What a good idea. I hate bugs in my drinks.
