While following Vince around Sam’s Club, I spotted a Serta pet sofa/bed. I figured Speck’s old bones might appreciate that instead of a regular dog bed or his old pillow that’s quite flat these days.
Speck’s Bed
His old doggy bed was just one of those big dog pillows and it was only an inch or so thick and this one is about 4 or 5″ thick so I wasn’t sure what he was going to think about getting on it. Before bed time, I moved out his old pillow and put this one in there. He sniffed it and cautiously got on it and seemed fine with it so I put his quilt on there and he got comfy for the night.
Speck’s Bed
This morning I went back in the bedroom to fold some clothes and while in there, I turned around and Speck had crawled back into his bed. I guess partially crawled is more like it.
Speck Almost in Bed
The bed is 39″ long and 26″ wide. There’s room for a whole dachshund in there . . I guess he was so tired, he just landed and stayed in that position.
I believe he’s happy with his new bed.

I have been using the Serrta orthopedic dog beds for several years now. My older dog and younger one both love them. In fact I have several in different places. Speck will love it.

I know Speck is loving his new bed and they just don’t want to give up their old beds. I have a doxie too…. they are just the best dogs !! Mine burrows too and sometimes doesn’t quite get all the way in. Speck is such a cutie 🙂
