After a couple of days of trying to get the new computer updated and failing and failing again, I gave up. I had read everything online . . seems like lots of people have trouble doing this and get the same error code I was getting but I was too afraid of screwing things up to do much more than I had already done so . . today during the middle of the day, while it’s too hot to be working outside, I enlisted Vince’s help. He can fix anything on a computer . . except Addie landing on one and me spilling Dr. Pepper on the keyboard.
Fixing Computer
Our conversation:
Vince: Why is there sugar in your keyboard?
Me: Cookies!
Vince: You’ve used it two days and you already have crap in the keyboard!
Me: Yep. What’s the point of having something if you can’t use it?
Then I got the speech about how you don’t eat and drink in your car . . it’s a good thing he never saw my cars from my earlier years; you don’t have food around a computer . . but wait . . isn’t that a cup of coffee by the computer? 🙂

LOL, LOL – I read cookies and immediately thought about the cookies websites leave on your computer – had to re-read and saw the sugar. Lesson learned, read slower :-).

It’s plainly a case of do as I say, not as I do. 🙂 Sometimes I think computers were invented to drive people crazy…..and I’m a heavy user so I’m probably more crazy than most by now!

That is a HILARIOUS pix of Vince–looks like he has bedhead (and most likely you never would’ve allowed a pix like that of you on the blog!! HAHA). You’re lucky to have such a GREAT handyman in multiple areas. My DH could rarely fix anything (but that was OK!).

Vince is great! He always reminds me of The Lorax, but that’s not meant to be a criticism. I loved The Lorax! 🙂

My husband had to call in tech experts when he went to upgrade his Windows machine! Something lime a virus in part of the upgrade which actually blocked the upgrade process. Don’t know if that has been fixed or not…
Was Vince able to fix it?
I know you aren’t an Apple fan but I love how easy it is to upgrade the operating system on my Mac laptop. Worth every $$$ it cost to save that aggravation. And Apple Care techs can walk a user through ANYTHING!

Yeah, my keyboard is full of crumbs, too. Just not cookie crumbs lately! =)
