With Camp Loopy going on over at The Loopy Ewe, and when that’s over, Loopy Academy will start back up again, and the Yarnathon with the Knit Along and Badges over at Eat, Sleep, Knit, and me trying to keep up with all of them, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Over the weekend, my friend, Eve, and I were discussing what we were working on and what we still needed to get done. After our discussion, I decided to make myself a little sheet and kinda stay on track if possible.
It’s kinda squished and hard to read in this screen shot but it helps me to feel like I’m going to reach my goal.
As far as the ESK badges, I think I’m doing good. I took screen shots and had to break them down into three to get readable pictures but . . here’s where I stand. If you want to read more about the badges and knit alongs at Eat, Sleep, Knit, you can find the info here. It’s really fun and rewarding but there’s a bit of competition in there too.
The above badges were mostly from the 1st quarter, with a few from the second quarter. The only one I have left to submit is the Long Haul and that’s going to be my Kynance Cove sweater which I could finish next week.
These were mostly from the second quarter with a few from the third quarter. I still need to finish:
- Silk Sweetheart – Working on a hat about 1/4th done.
- Seamstress – Involves sewing on more than 6 buttons. I have a project ready to start. It uses one skein of worsted weight so it should go quickly.
- Sir Blocks-a-Lot – Have to have blocked 10 ESK projects since January 1. I think I’ve done 8 so I’m almost there.
- Double Vision – I’m making a second pair of socks. The first sock is finished and I should finish the second sock by the weekend.
And the last batch is all from the third quarter.
Getting some of these badges might take a while.
- Beach Bum – Finding a beach around here isn’t going to be easy but I think I can find one in MO.
- ESK Buff – I need 20 correct trivia questions and it will be into the 4th quarter before I’m able to get those.
- Spin Sister – That’s the spinning challenge. I can do that one . . but it’s not one I’m going to work on right away.
So . . you see that I’ve been very busy knitting and still have quite a bit of knitting to get done, along with 6 of the Knit Along projects. I can do it . . I hope to get them all done.

Your a busy girl! 😉 I just visited their store last week for the first time. Wow wow wow, is all I can say. It’s an incredible place. If they don’t get you with the zillions of yarns they carry, they will with the incredible fabrics. I see many more trips up there in my future!

Can’t you set up a chair on the shore of Lake Brownwood? It may not be ‘sandy’ but it would qualify as a beach. Just a thought.

I’m 45 miles from the public park but I’ll be closer to a beach when I visit Chad in MO.
