Slowing Down

This morning I had to laugh as I went out to make my morning rounds. Last night we were so busy with helping the friend unload the trailer and making two trips to get rabbit manure. The first thing I saw when I went out this morning was that I had left the walk through gate to the garden wide open all night. Vince drove around to the side drive through gate and I went through the side gate, then I rode out with him and never thought about the gate being open. Thank goodness a herd of ravenous deer didn’t come by and decide to get the corn.

Forgotten Egg

As I was watering the peach trees, I noticed this egg on top of one of the little coops. I get eggs several times a day and sometimes there’s an egg that was laid after I made my last egg trip and Vince picks it up as he’s feeding and watering the chickens. I guess he left that one up there and forgot about it.

Forgotten cucumbers

As I went by to check my plants on the table, I noticed three cucumbers I had picked yesterday evening and put down there while I watered the plants on the table and I never went back to get them.

We need to slow down around here! Hopefully this evening we can sit and relax but somehow . . I doubt that will happen . . not til it starts getting dark earlier.
