Our first week on Weight Watchers went great. I’m never hungry doing WW, though I do keep thinking about Dr. Pepper and ice cream. I know we can have diet soda but I won’t drink it. I don’t like it . . would have to learn to like it and just don’t see the benefit in doing that. Water is my second choice . . if I can’t have Dr. Pepper, I’ll have water.
I figure that when not dieting, in the summer, I probably drink 4 cans of Dr. Peppers a day. That’s a whole lot of calories – 4,200 in a week! Just cutting that out makes a huge difference. I did have one Dr. Pepper on Wednesday and on Saturday and Sunday, each day I had one so reducing the Dr. Pepper alone reduced my calorie intake by 3,750 this week.
We didn’t do any “cheating” on the plan except Saturday when we went to a group cookout. We each had a small serving of peach cobbler, a tiny sliver of chocolate cake and one biscuit. Because neither of us had used any bonus points during the week, I think we were fine.
My weight loss for the week was 7 pounds. That’s a good first week loss. It will drop down to 1 to 2 pounds a week but probably for at least a couple of weeks, because of the Dr. Pepper, I’ll lose more.
It’s such an easy diet to follow. I’ve never felt hungry. The recipes are quick and easy and delicious. I hope we’ll stick with it and not venture off and lose our motivation.

Link your Fitbit and use your activity points for your Dr Pepper. That way you feel like you worked for your indulge and no guilt????
Good luck from a lifetime ww member @goal

Good luck, I too find WW was a fantastic life style change. I have been Lifetime @ goal for two years. When I fall prey to my old eating habits I just remind myself to get back to healthy eating first thing the next day. So far, so good AND I feel so much better that it makes it all worth it.
Just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to get my crochet hooks out and try it again. I have never been able to knit so we will see if I can get the hooks to work! Thank you.

Great week! I bet you didn’t cheat at all – if you added the points for what you ate, they probably didn’t exceed your bonus points. Hang in there! As soon as I’m recovered from my knee replacement, I’ll be right there with you.

Weight Watchers Fudge Bars are really good. They take the place of ice cream for me.

I love WW. The only thing that works for me. So why am I not doing it?! Do you do it online? That is a GREAT 1st week loss! Congratulations!
