Nicole and I both finished the first two semesters/first year of Loopy Academy and we both did the extra credit. While they were here, we both got notification that our “surprises” were in our carts and if we placed an order, they would be included, and if not, they would be sent out separately by the end of the month. Since it was time for us to order yarn for our second Camp Loopy project, we both placed orders on the same day and both of orders were to be delivered tomorrow.
We talked about our “surprises” all week and agreed that we would wait til we each had our package, then video chat and open them together. Last night, I was reading Ravelry in bed and saw that there was a “spoiler” post with pictures of the gifts. This morning, I said to Nicole . . If I found a picture of what our gifts are going to be, do you want to see it?” Heck yes . . she wanted to see it so I showed her and we were even more excited to get our packages.
It ended up that both packages got speedy service and were to be delivered today instead of tomorrow and mine has already arrived.
I love the bag. In fact, I had wanted to buy one or more of these bags (different picture/logo) and never had. This is for completing the first year of Loopy Academy.
The extra credit prize is this tin:
And it has pencils and a sharpener in it.
The pencils are neat but I really love the tin!
The first year of Loopy Academy was fun and it was especially fun doing it with Nicole. We did some of the same projects and some were different but it’s been great to watch her grow in her knitting skills and her knitting confidence.

You two are so silly!! I think it is absolutely fantastic that you have such a wonderful daughter in law married to an extra special son. It’s super cool that she enjoys knitting like you and you two can do that together either by Skype or in person!

I am so glad that I completed the first year! My freshman bag should arrive today. I have the “Stash is protected by yarn ninjas” one made by this designer and absolutely LOVE it. It’s my main go to bag for my knitting.
