It sits under the carport with a flat tire. Vince aired it up with the air compressor Tuesday evening, thinking it would have enough air that he could drive it to work the next morning and take it in to get the tire fixed, but it was raining so hard that he decided not to drive it . . just in case he didn’t make it on the tire. This picture was taken mid-morning and by the afternoon, it was flat.
Actually, he’s probably going to buy 4 new tires so I asked him just to call the tire store and have them come and get it it, fix it and call us when it’s done. That’s what I would do! He’s been leaving the house at 5:30 in the morning and getting home after the tire shop is closed. In fact, today was one of those rare days when he took his lunch to work and isn’t even coming home for lunch!
I know . . a good wife would take care of that for him but I’m not that good! 🙂 We’re probably 12 miles from the tire shop and I don’t want to be stuck on the side of the road with a flat. The spare is fairly new and I suggested he put the spare on the ground but no . . he’s determined he can air it up and get there on it. I guess since the tires need to be replaced, so long as he doesn’t ruin the rim, we’ll just call his idea a good one and I’ll keep knitting!
The old Honda is 14 years old and it still looks pretty good for it’s age, though it does bug me that the spare tire cover is a bit crooked.

We have the same Honda, although I think ours might be a bit older. My husband loves that car. I can’t stand it, because the air con fan makes a squeaking noise when it’s on. He will get the littlest thing fixed on the thing, but thinks fixing that would require too much. Men!

my DH has a 19-year old Honda Prelude. The window seals all leak, and fuel indicator is broken, and it has rust holes above the tires – but the engine is still going strong and he loves it so much !!

12 miles is quite aways to drive with a leaking flat tire. If you have triple A they will come and put the spare on, then it can be driven to get new tires—-Honda’s last forever.

If the tire is going to be replaced anyhow…. Fix a flat! That stuff does work. I’d throw some of that in and then go.
Living in the middle of the desert, I keep a can of that stuff in my car at all times!

My CRV is a 2006 and still runs like a new car! But my driver side rear tire goes flat like that every other day. Frank airs it up with a compressor before he leaves………an we are only 1 mile from a tire shop………..

What is funny is my granddaughter just yesterday bought a 2001 Honda CRV, it is red and she is 20 years old, I think if she had a flat she would have lots of help getting it changed.. But, she is excited about it, it will be her college car, for the next 6 years as she works on becoming a veterinarian.
