For some reason, she’s gone from calling me Granny to just calling me Gran. I don’t care but I think it’s funny.
Today I was video chatting with her and she wanted Nicole to go outside with her so she “could practice her casting”. She’s so much her daddy when it comes to his love of fishing. Her fishing pole doesn’t have a hook on it so Nicole got her to practicing her casting in the living room. I was telling her that she does so good casting and asked her who taught her to cast! She said “My two families taught me!” I asked who her two families were . . thinking she might say Nicole’s parents since she sees them so much and she said “Mommy and Daddy is one family and Justin and Liea!” Justin and Liea live across the street from them and have a little girl Addie’s age. Justin hunts and fishes with Chad so they’re all together a lot . . enough that Addie thinks of them as family.
Kids truly do say the funniest things.

Love the Addie stories. My maternal grandmother was a “Gran”. Since I was the oldest I got to ‘name her’. Her sister was “Goo-Goo” — I’m not sure if that was my mom’s doing as a child or something I came up with as her name was Gertrude.

That is such a cute picture of Addie fishing. Wonder what she is carrying in her purse. Must be important since it’s with her at the water’s edge. lol
