From my kitchen table, I can see the bird bath and I see some everyday, not so striking looking birds but the bluebirds, really any of the brightly colored birds, thrill me.
Taking pictures out the window is a bit of a challenge. Looks like he decided to get in and test the waters.
He must have decided the water temp was just right because he was splishing and splashing!
I hope he enjoyed his bath. It isn’t often one bird gets the whole bird bath to himself.

Looks to me like you had no problems taking pictures through the windows. They turned out very nice!

Judy, What’s that thing in the middle of your bird feeder?

I love to watch the birds splashing around in our bird bath. Puts a smile on my face every time.

Thanks for the pictures. We love watching the birds in our bird baths and have several feeders out.

Birdbaths are fun! I had a sprinkler set up one summer instead of the usual drip hose (which had developed a split). There was a bird having a fabulous time flying through the sprinkler getting a shower. It was fun to watch. I felt bad for him when I had to finally turn it off.

Yeah, what IS that thing in the middle of the bird bath?

Thanks for starting my day off with a smile! I love to watch all the little song birds around my home. I really need to get a bird bath but keep putting it off until we have to move across the country this summer. This makes me want to get one now!

Beautiful! And thanks for your efforts; I can’t tell that was through a window.
Now Bobby Darin is in my head: Splish splash I was taking a bath…

I believe it’s a battery-powered vibrator for the water which prevents the water from freezing, and may discourage mosquitos from laying eggs.

I am asking the same question, what is that thing in the middle? I have a bird bath and I just might need one too. 🙂
