It felt so good to finish this sweater but at the same time, I feel kinda lost without having it to work on. I started it in the middle of February . . could have sworn it was longer ago than that but my Ravelry project says February 19 so I guess that’s right. I put it aside to do Taiga, then did Sandpiper Shawl, and then back to Pixelated.
What are the chances that my try on lady would be exactly the same color as the aqua in the sweater? Weird! Also, I haven’t blocked this and probably won’t til next Fall. It will be at least 7 months, probably longer, before it’s cool enough to wear sweaters around here.
You know I’m going to have a great stash report this Friday!
What to work on next . . I haven’t a clue! There are several projects that are in various stages of completion . . one is the cowl for Loopy Academy, one is a worsted weight sock .. neither of those excite me so I’ll see what I can find around here that wants to be cast on right away.

That is so pretty – a fantastic color combination. I think “try on lady” really needs to have a name. 😉

Too bad you can’t wear it because it is beautiful . I must say though that I’m not sad to see the cold winter gone.
How are you feeling today? Better I hope.

That is absolutely beautiful (and looks VERY, VERY difficult!!). Love it and know I’d LOVE wearing it as I’m sure you will. Congrats on the finish.

The sweater is gorgeous! I knit some pretty intricate things, but I’ve never felt the pull to actually do colorwork like that. I’ve convinced myself it is too hard, and I won’t do it very well. Of course I have no qualms about knitting with lace-weight yarn, or super-fine thread. 🙂 Many of my knitting friends won’t even consider knitting with the very fine threads…

Love this sweater !! Probably my favorite project that you’ve shown us!
Rebecca in SoCal says
Beautiful!
Would it need to be blocked again after storage? Otherwise, I would think you would want it “ready to wear.”

Wow, that is beautiful! I think it’s my favorite knitted sweater you have made! Love it!

Love the sweater and the shawl!
Got a question for you: I knitted a cotton sweater the past couple of months, do I have to block it or just leave it as is like I do acrylic. (I haven’t strayed much from the synthetics over the years due to ease of care!) So, what do I do now?

That is one beautiful sweater. I love the colors you chose and the pattern in the sweater really adds to it. Very nice finish. We can still wear sweaters here, Judy and I love long sleeves! lol
