Laura Aylor is hosting a Knit Along for her new Sandpiper Shawl. The info is in her forum on Ravelry and can be found here.
You saw my partially knitted Sandpiper Shawl this morning but here’s Laura’s (photo used with her permission).
The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn but since I was determined to use yarn I have here at home, I used a sport weight yarn so I’m using a bit more yarn than the pattern calls for (yay!) and I’m making the ruffle and eyelet strip the same color so mine will be 2 colors instead of 3.
I haven’t reached the border yet . . almost there . . but so far, it’s be a delight to knit. It’s easy to see if you’ve made a mistake because there is some aligning of stitch patterns. It’s something I can work on while watching TV and talking with Vince. It doesn’t require so much yarn that it’s outrageously expensive to make so it would make a nice gift for anyone wanting to get ahead with Christmas gifts.
Check it out and think about joining in the KAL if you’re interested. I would definitely not mind making another one of these.

Hi Judy,
Did you maybe not include the link to Laura’s forum, or is my computer acting up? That’s a cute shawl, and I found the pattern on Rav but searched and can’t locate the forum. Thanks.
Judy

Thank you! I fixed it.

Love that shawl – but then I like just about everything Laura designs. I bought the pattern – don’t know if I’ll do the KAL – I’m on a deadline to finish a sweater for my daughter. Hope you’re feeling better.
