This is the last of the crazy yarn reports where I bought lots of yarn. Even though an unnamed friend tried to talk me into buying yarn this week .. I didn’t do it. What came in today is what was ordered several weeks ago and held til I got home from MO.
There was the Shepherd’s Wool that I ordered for Vince. Since I got blue then brown (he decided on the blue), that’s 26 skeins. There’s 12 skeins for Hedgerow. I’m counting the yarn for Leftovers Cowl as 6 skeins. Not sure how to count those “collections” and really, all that matters is that when I use it, I count it as the same thing as when I added it. I believe that comes to 48 skeins in. Darn! I still think I can end up in the black. Ten months. That’s just a little over 10 skeins per month so long as I don’t add anything else. That’s a tall order but I can do it.
I didn’t finish anything this week so that’s nothing to count as used.
Used this week: 0 skeins
Used since 1/1/2015: 29 skeins
Added this week: 48 skeins
Added since 1/1/21015: 133 skeins
Net Used since 1/1/2015: 104 skeins (red means I’ve added more than I’ve used).

LOL! And you expect us to believe that yarn about the last purchase of the year??? I remember a post from the first of the year where you weren’t going to buy ANY new yarn if you could pull from the stash!!!! You sound like me and my fabric-“But I NEED this for this project!” And lately, the yarn shopping on line has been alive and well at my house since I am still house bound from foot surgery-but I have finished 2 scarves and a cowl and the “Outlier”. Almost done with a cotton knit short sleeve sweater-loving the experience! Got lots of yarn for other projects-may make lots of fingerless mittens and more scarves! Let it snow, let it snow, I have plenty of yarn!

But…but…
You won’t be knitting as much when you’re tending the garden and putting up the harvest!
I think rather than aiming for “black” you are investing for the future. Prices will go nowhere but up.
