I think I’m addicted to Kombucha. I love it! I took several bottles to Chad and Nicole’s so they could try it. I should have brought a starter . . just in case . . I have so many! But, I didn’t. Nicole loved it and I had heard that you could try to “capture” a starter from an already bottled brew so we made some fresh green tea, poured about half a bottle of my Kombucha in there and let it sit. After about 5 days, I could see the film, which resembled a starter, beginning to form on top. We made some more fresh tea and repeated the process and by the time I left, Nicole had herself a starter going. She bottled her first batch Thursday and I’m anxious to hear how it turned out.
Saturday I made a batch and flavored it with Cranberry-Lemonade juice.
I’m anxious to see how that one turns out. So far, my favorite is the batch flavored with this Pomegranate-Blueberry juice.
As of now, I’m drinking a Dr. Pepper in the morning, but the rest of the day, I drink Kombucha. Not sure how much better it is for me but it has to be better than soda, right?

Anything is better than soda, but I still like a cold Dr. Pepper every once in a great while.

I haven’t tried to make any yet, but bought some at Whole Foods. I can’t say I like it though. It’s so very bitter. And yet everyone I know who makes it themselves loves it. It is recommended for healing gut inflammation so I make myself take a swallow, but I dread those swallows.

Have you ever had a Chia Kombucha? OMG – the seeds are kind of “slimy” (resemble tapioca in a way), but it’s SO good!!
