It’s been a long time since I knitted socks and it kinda felt good.
These were made using the Hermione’s Everyday Socks pattern (free on Ravelry). Since I’m a big fan of pooling, I love the little bit of pooling, little bit of striping in this yarn. The yarn is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock, color is mineshaft. Knitting with Lorna’s Laces sock yarn is a bit like knitting with sewing thread . . it’s so fine but the twist is very tight and these are socks made with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn are some of my better lasting socks. It’s 80% wool and 20% nylon and that little bit of nylon really makes a huge difference in how long my socks last.
These socks were for the Eat, Sleep, Knit “knit along”. For the socks category, we had several patterns from which to choose. They will also qualify me for the Stashdiver Booster Badge since these were made with yarn purchased in 2011 and the Binge Knitter Badge. Vince and I watched the first episode of Private Practice on Netflix a while back and he wasn’t interested in finishing it. I couldn’t even remember the name of it and he finally figured out what it was so yesterday, I sat down and started knitting on these socks and had to re-watch the first show .. it had been so long since I had see it. By the time I went to bed last night (with my iPad . . still watching), I had finished Season 1 and started Season 2. I think I’m done for a while but I would like to finish watching the show.
What shall I knit next??

Nice socks! That pattern is in my “to do” pile (which is huge) but I never realized it had that texture pattern; I like it a lot. Now to finish the other socks first! Sounds like you’re going to be buying more yarn! Have you already started Hedgerow? That is a gorgeous pattern!
