I love that Addie loves playing with her dolls and doing girly stuff but she also loves outdoorsy, typical boyish type things too.
There were several unusual warm January days last week and they took advantage of the sunshine. Before anyone gets critical, the water is very shallow and both Chad and Nicole are right there with their eyes on her.
She was casting and reeling . . notice she uses her left hand. Nicole said it looks like she’s going to be left handed.
And it must have paid off.
I would love to hear what she’s saying to that fish. Since she never stops talking, I’m sure she was telling the fish quite a story. Notice she never puts down her fishing pole. I think that one got thrown back.
I would also love to hear what Chad is telling her about the fish . . gently feel the fish! And she still has her fishing pole in her hand.
After a hard day of fishing . . it’s time for a bit of fun.
Won’t be long til spring is here and warm, sunny days, even in Missouri, will become more plentiful and Addie can spend more time outdoors.

She is so cute! What do you mean “when spring is here”? She is in a t-shirt! That screams spring to me, but then, we are still buried in snow! No t-shirts till late April, if we are lucky! Not like last year when I recorded -31 on March 13th. Glad she loves to fish with dad. Being a Tom boy, I like girls that aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty!

Just simply precious! I love to take our little Grandson fishing. He gets so excited no matter who catches a fish. But when he tells about the trip he caught all of them. (lol)

She’s adorable. She’s grown so much!

She is so stinkin’ cute! Our girl grew up fishing too – she loves it. I told our boy to find a girl that likes to fish – I always thought girls that like to fish were grounded. 🙂

Your beautiful granddaughter is beyond precious! I love that she loves being outside and that she’s being taught all those traditionally “boy” things. My dad did the same for me and many of my best memories involve him, the great outdoors, fishing poles, knives, horses and rifles. And tools. And dirt. And … well you get the picture. To me there’s hardly anything more adorable than a little girl in ruffles covered in dirt and muck. LOL! Keep the stories & pictures coming!

I think it’s great that Chad and Nicole expose Addie to all the wonders of outdoor life! She looks like a pretty good fisherman and someday might give Dad a run for his money in the fishing dept!
