Last week, we were out and I saw 3 or 4 kids dressed in the tackiest clothes. We got in the car and I told Vince .. I’m so glad Nicole dresses Addie in the style I think is cute and not what I had seen those other kids wearing. When we got home and I got on Facebook, this is the first picture I saw of Addie.
Oh, my . . she has on those same type tacky clothes I’ve been seeing other kids wearing! Then my friend came over with her granddaughter and I’ll be a monkey’s uncle — she had on something similar!
I think they all got “dress up” kits for Christmas and that’s why they had on those type clothes. My friend’s granddaughter had on a long, sheer princess dress, along with the chicken mittens I made her, and she was playing in our dirt pile. That was a sight – a princess in a dirt pile!
How do you like Addie’s pigtails? I love them but . . I love everything about that child! 🙂

“Frozen” is the latest rage with all the young girls-they all dress like Princesses!

It’s all about the tutu’s…I knitted several for my granddaughters. And, of course, it is all about the long Princess dresses…got to love ’em

It truly is all about “Frozen” in the younger age group. Both of our gr. grands received many such themed gifts this year and the older (3-1/2 yrs) has been wearing the princess look since the movie came out (she was a princess for Halloween). It seems that each of these young gals have their own very definite opinion on how this them plays out in their own attire!!

Those little tutus are the rage among the younger set. My hairdresser sells them in her shop, her daughter makes them. I think I have a picture somewhere of my granddaughter wearing one for her first birthday party. The little girls love them!

I gave my 4 year old granddaughter the “Elsa” dress from Frozen on Dec 20th when we had our family Christmas. She has worn that dress for the past 10 days. The dress has a button on the front that’s plays “let it go , let it go” when you push it. One would think that button would have ceased to play days ago, but it still plays loud and annoying. That gift put me on my son’s —- list but to my granddaughter……I’m just the greatest Nana!!
Addie looks darling.

Addie is so cute! But in the picture she looks like her hair is in ponytails, not pigtails. Pigtails are braided. I think all little girls like dressing up in costumes. Next year the styles will probably be all different.
Judy Laquidara says
We’ve always called a single “tail” a pony tail and two, whether braided or not were called pig tails. After reading your comment, I looked it up on Wikipedia and found this: “Most dictionaries still define “pigtail” as a single tight braid. However, many American English speakers use the term to describe two symmetrical bunches of hair on either side of the head, braided or not.[citation needed] In some cases, the term applies to unbraided hair.”

Love the pigtails too by the way. I thought they were called pigtails because they looked like a pigs tail. Short and curled. they are always cute on little girls and on Addie for sure.
