Hummus is one of the healthier snacks and it’s so easy to make and keeps well in the fridge. It can be made with canned garbanza beans but it’s so much better made with dried beans that you cook. Try it . . just once . . for me! 🙂

We LOVE hummus – especially the 9 year old! We like to make it in big batches and pop the extra in the freezer – it thaws fairly quickly. Since we are not home during the week for lunches, we usually go through a small container each weekend.

Making ahead definitely works but with the pressure cooker, it takes less than half an hour from start to finish so I doubt I’ll be making it much ahead.

The second ingredient on the list is “3-4 cloves”. I LOVE hummus but I don’t think I’d like it with cloves and no garlic–LOL!!

I totally agree that using cooked-from-dried chickpeas are SO MUCH better. Compared with the canned ones, they are almost sweet.
