Multiplying Chickens

The bantam hen that wanted to be a mother is the most awful mother in the whole world. I gave her 2 Ameracauna eggs and 2 Black Copper Maran eggs. They should have hatched on the 21st but she is off the nest more than she’s on the nest. Tomorrow I’ll candle the eggs (if it isn’t raining) and if there’s no sign of baby chicks, I’m going to toss them.

But the multiplying chicks I’m talking about . . 

Chicken Mittens

That’s another pair of mittens started for my friend’s granddaughter. I will see her over the next few days so I have to hurry and get them finished. I can do it!  🙂
