You guessed it . . another dinner from the pressure cooker.
It’s Teriyaka Chicken Wings, leftover mac and cheese and baked sweet potato. The wings were so good.
Everything about the pressure cooker is good but I really love how well it browns. These are the wings after browning but before pressure cooking for 7 minute.
One pack of wings made enough for two meals. Oh, how I love leftovers!

I have been a crock-pot user probably as long as they have been available, but I am finding that I don’t always get them started in a timely manner now that I am home all the time. I tried a stove top pressure cooker in the early 70s and found it gave the food a metallic taste. All that being said I am giving more and more thought to one of these. I hope the old dog can learn new tricks if I do decide to go for it!

Judy, you have sold me completely ! My DH does most of our cooking, so I bought him one for Christmas ! Can’t wait til he opens it and starts cooking. I think he will enjoy the pressure cooker magic – sort of like a power tool !!!! It’s a guy way to cook…. Kate

That’s a great description – power tool for cooking.

You inspired me to try one of the recipes from the website. http://www.pressurecookingtoday.com/2012/11/chicken-and-mushrooms/
It turned out great, though next time I will probably spice it up a little more. Thanks for sharing.

I bought the electric pressure cooker for my DH. He does the cooking and I thought he would use it. He’s had some bad experiences not allowing enough time for the crock pot to get things done. He seemed pleased, but hasn’t used it yet – only came yesterday.

I can’t wait to hear what he thinks about it.

So you browned them in the Pressure cooker? and then actually did the pressure thing to get them done more? I’m almost sold….
Judy Laquidara says
Yes! One pot to wash. I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it browns.

Thanks for enabling me Judy! I just ordered a Cusinart at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I also found a spot to store it which was my reason for not buying.
