Ombre Kit – DK Twist – 8 skeins. Don’t ask what I’m going to do with this . . I don’t have a clue but it’s gorgeous (but I’m not taking the plastic off yet).

Malabrigo Rios – 8 skeins. This will be used for Addie’s Bobbly Bunch sweater and hat, and a matching scarf for Nicole. The color is Ravelry Red and I love it!

Added this week: 32 skeins
Added since 1/1/21014: 377 skeins
Net Used since 1/1/2014: 287 (You all know Red means I’ve added more than I’ve used!)
When you look at those numbers (added 377 skeins) and the used numbers (90 skeins), it’s pretty apparent that it will take about 4 years just to use the yarn I bought this year . . if I buy no yarn at all during those 4 years. A week or so ago, I mentioned that I had purchased zero fabric this year. There was a time when I bought fabric like I’ve been buying yarn and when I had enough . . I was done. That’s how I’m feeling with yarn. I think next year is going to be very different. I’m hoping for lots of fabric and yarn in the used column and not much of either in the added column.

re:Ombre Kit – DK Twist – 8 skeins: that would look lovely as a pullover knit in either a chevron or a fan pattern, with the light yarn at the top and the darker yarn at the bottom. I know that your knitting skills are up to it.

The ombre kit is gorgeous. They need to offer it in fingering weight!!!
