When I was out with the chickens this morning, I noticed the beautiful pink in the sky and hurried in to get my camera. The sky changes so quickly! I never noticed how quickly it changes til I began trying to get pictures of some of the beautiful sunrises/sunsets.
I think of how many years I never ever noticed the beauty in a sunrise or sunset. There’s hardly a morning or evening that one of us doesn’t comment about the beauty in the sky. How could I have not noticed them for so many years?
Any day that begins with such a beautiful sky has to be a fantastic day!

That IS pretty!! I’m usually not up early enough to see the beautiful sunrise and do occasionally notice sunsets if I happen to be out at the right time! I think I notice the moon more often than anything. But I’m like you, don’t recall noticing when I was ‘younger’–guess we had too many distractions. But I also think YOU notice them more because you have the wide open skies out there!!

That makes 2 of us! That IS a pretty morning sky! Last night our sky was flaming red and like y’all rarely does a day pass when we don’c comment on the sky. Yesterday I walked and just could not drink in the smell in the air and the ever changing light enough. Here’s to a day filled with happy blessings.

My beautiful morning sky was a view of a clear (cold) star-filled sky since I was up before the sun. Just as awesome as sunrises and sunsets!

Yep, my first view of the sky each morning is a dark, star filled canvas. It is awesome . . there are so many stars visible out here in the desolate areas with no security lights or lights from a city.

The prairie sky – can’t beat it for giving us a spectacular show. I love watching our SD sky change, whether it is sunrises, sunsets, storm clouds, star filled. Isn’t it funny how those pink sunsets wouldn’t look right in a painting but we see those colors so often.

We used to have a much better sky view when our trees were small. Don’t get near the pictures now but am grateful for bigger trees especially when it gets hot!

Beautiful photos,Judy! It’s like the slogan for the weather channel…”it’s amazing out there!”
Red sky at morning-sailors take warning? May be you’ll have some rain.

The best part of this time of year with abbreviated daylight is the wonderful sunrises and sunsets! My gift to myself is time spent each morning watching the sun rise, and you are right, it often predicts the kind of day I will have. Sunsets are equally stunning, but I often miss them in the bustle of the day. Here in Alaska, the sunrises and sunsets are almost non-existent in the summertime, so we especially cherish them now.
Thanks for the beautiful photos!
