Laura Aylor has now released Hay Cove and through November 17, it’s available at a 40% discount. You can get the pattern here. Laura has also released a new ebook, Northward, and it contains 7 of her patterns. Here’s my Hay Cove before it was blocked and it still doesn’t have buttons.
This is a warm and cozy sweater. Worsted weight yarn is recommended and I used Cascade 220, which is fairly inexpensive and should hold up really well to lots of wear. The Cascade 220 is just rustic enough that I feel like I can wear this sweater with anything . . jeans and boots, or dressed up a little with a nice shirt and maybe a chunky necklace of some kind.
If you click on the Hay Cove link above, you can see the projects by other knitters, and the color combinations they have used. I think this would be nice done in school colors for wearing to those chilly football games.
This sweater is not hard to make and it goes quickly with the worsted weight yarn.
