Shopping is about my least favorite thing to do but, poor Rita . . she has no clothes! She’s having “surgery” next week and she’s been wearing a collar (that came with her) and it was a bit too big and with a leash, she just slipped right out of the collar so I wanted to get her a harness. The pet store here has the cutest dog clothes.
Rita’s Sweater
Look how proud Vince is of his girl all dressed up in her new pink hoodie! Coming home I told Vince . . I’ll bet she’s never had a new outfit! 🙂

She is not impressed! She wants it off . . NOW! When she sees me coming with it, she runs and hides. I think she could be fun to dress but she needs to be just a bit more cooperative. She got another outfit but she wasn’t really in the mood for modeling her new clothes.
In the second picture, you can see her cute little crooked tooth that most of the time sticks out above her lip. I still say we should take her to a doggie orthodontist and Vince says . . well . . I won’t repeat what Vince says! 🙂

Poor Rita! All my dogs for over 50 years now have worn costumes, clothes, fun stuff. But Chloe the Smelly Basset HATES to have clothes or coats on her. She refuses to move and is rooted to the spot. She is totally embarrassed and lets us know.
My Swissys would win Costume Contests all the time! And the Bad Basset Boyz don’t mind dressing up.
I still think it is fun though.

I need to get the doofy doxie a sweater as he’s a freezer, shivering all the time. He probably won’t like it to begin with til he actually feels warmer. Might need some booties, too! HA We have therapy dogs that come in to Ronald McDonald on the night we serve dinner and there’s the most adorable mini schnauzer that is always dressed to the nines. She is a doll and the clothes make her even cuter!!!

Every time we take Emmi to our vet, Jim will say, “Emmi you need orthodontics!” She has really, really crooked teeth. I tell Jim, nope, not happening!

My dog only likes to wear something when it is very cold out…otherwise he’s a nudist!
